Baby + Toddler Sleep Consultant
Welcome! My name is Sarah, a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant. I reside in the suburbs of Chicago with my husband Mark and our two children, Ella and Jack.
In my late teens and 20's I dealt with a lot of anxiety and was on medication. When my husband and I decided to start adding to our family, I embarked on a journey to better treat my anxiety without medication. In the process I quickly learned that sleep was crucial for me. When I got pregnant with Ella, I started reading everything I could to set up healthy sleep habits for our family. In the process I had family and friends asking for my advice, and born was a passion to help other families.
It doesn't matter if you are a stay-at-home parent or a CEO, everyone needs sleep, including our little ones! Sleep deprivation can be crippling and affect all aspects of our lives from our marriage, our work, and parenting. Just because you have a baby does not mean you have to sacrifice your needs.
Not only do adults need sleep to be the best versions of themselves, but our children do too. Sleep is crucial for growth and development.
During the "newborn bliss" months, we are in survival mode; we create habits out of necessity, comfort, and what works in the moment. Sleep is always changing in the first few months and it is hard to keep up, so you do what works in that moment. We turn to google, books, friends, family, and everyone says something different. It is overwhelming, exhausting, and you just need help. That's where I come in. Together we will form new healthy sleep habits.
As a certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, my goal is to help clients with their family wellness needs by providing the guidance and resources needed to understand the root cause of their issues and develop a plan that works for them. My hope is to create a life balance that prioritizes everyone’s wellbeing and strengthens the bonds within your family.
